Magnesium – The Calming Element

** First of all, I want to say that I am not a Dr. so please check with your Dr. before taking any supplements.

Now that I have that out-of-the-way,  let’s talk about what a great supplement Magnesium is and why you need to know about it.

My Dr. recently told me to start taking Magnesium supplements ( these in particular) to help me relax more throughout the day  I tend to get stressed pretty easily, and I live with a somewhat constant level of anxiety that is starting to cause other health issues.  I try to “turn it off”, but that never works.  This supplement does seem to help me, I do notice that I’m calmer after I’ve taken it.

There are also some magnesium drink mixes called, “Natural Calm“,  that you mix into your water.  There are a few different flavors that are slightly effervescent and very light.  I can barely taste the different flavors, but I do like the fizz it gives my water.  I just sprinkle it into a water bottle, or my glass.

But I have since found out that there are many other benefits to taking Magnesium supplements:

  1. Better sleep, reduced insomnia
  2. Improved brain function
  3. Decreased inflammation
  4. Stronger bones
  5. Better digestion
  6. Increased energy
